What we collect

Without an account, the server and Cloudflare see your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.

Filed does not use analytics.

My stocks, while you are signed out, stays in your browser. A broker file you import is read on your device; only ticker, ISIN and name are sent, to match them to stocks Filed tracks.

An account stores your email, what you follow, alert settings and a scrambled session cookie. Sign-in records are kept 30 days. Stripe handles card payments; Filed stores the Stripe customer number, plan and renewal date.

Who else handles it, and your rights

Contabo hosts the server, Cloudflare delivers the site, Resend sends email, and Stripe takes payment. Some processing is outside the UK, including in the US, under UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Deleting the account removes the email, follows, settings and alert history straight away. Payment records are kept for six years where tax law requires it.

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
